EUROPIPE has received orders from Russia, via the trading house EUROTUBE in Kaarst/Germany, for a total of 97,000 tonnes of large-diameter pipes. Of this sum, a portion of 30,000 tonnes with an OD of 1,020 mm and a wall thickness of 13 mm will be delivered to Transneft for use in an extension of their oil pipeline system. Gazprom has ordered 63,000 tonnes with an OD of 1,420 mm and wall thicknesses of 21.60 mm/25.80 mm for the Northern Line. This pipeline feeds the Nord Stream pipeline from the gas fields of Russia.
Finally Gazprom will get delivery of 4,000 tonnes of specially made high-pressure large-diameter pipes for the compressor station in Portovaya. This station builds up the pressure of the gas that is fed into the Nord Stream pipeline in Russia, which is then transported to Greifswald.
All pipes have to be delivered in 2010.
