Construction Pipes
The core business of EUROPIPE is the manufacture of large-diameter pipes for pipeline projects. In addition, our team “Special Products” also engages successfully in other pipe projects.
EUROPIPE is incorporated into the processes of steel and plate manufacturing, especially in the Research & Development of its parent companies AG der Dillinger Hüttenwerke and Salzgitter Mannesmann GmbH.
EUROPIPE has supplied over 100,000 tons of pipes for construction projects, such as the roof structure of the “AWD Arena” soccer stadium (photo: Heinrich Hecht) in Hanover and the “Neue Messe” (New Trade Fair) in Stuttgart. Other applications include offshore projects such as the “tension leg pipes” (tie anchors) for oil rigs at the greatest depths in the world so far, in the Gulf of Mexico, and pipes for the construction of the floodgates of the flood protection system “MOSE” in Venice.
EUROPIPE is a partner in developing and introducing new products such as the “Knutsen OAS PNG®” technology for offshore gas transportation, and the WeserWind “Vario Bases”, so-called jacket foundations (steel pipe structures on the sea bed) for multi-megawatt wind turbines of offshore wind farms.
