Pipes for the
hydrogen future

Hydrogen as the key to the energy transition

Hydrogen is a central component of the European energy transition. Obtained from renewable sources such as wind and solar energy, ‘green’ hydrogen can be used as an emission-free energy carrier and to store surplus energy. Hydrogen thus enables a stable supply and supports the integration of renewable energies into the grid.

Infrastructure for a sustainable energy supply

The development of an efficient hydrogen infrastructure – from pipelines and storage facilities to transport systems – is crucial to enabling hydrogen to reach its full potential. EUROPIPE has more than 100 years of experience in manufacturing large-diameter pipes for hydrogen-rich gases. As early as the beginning of the 20th century, we were producing safe pipe systems for transporting town gas with a high hydrogen content at our plant in Mülheim.

Experience meets innovation

Today, there is growing demand for pipes that can transport both gas mixtures with a high hydrogen content and pure hydrogen. EUROPIPE is ideally positioned to meet this challenge.

Our pipes for hydrogen transport are tested in accordance with the international standard ASME B31.12 at independent research institutes. Pipes that pass the demanding KIH test stand for the highest quality, safety and future viability. Pipelines that have passed the KIH test in accordance with ASME B31.12 include, for example:

  • Net4Gas Capacity for Gas
  • Fluxys Opwijk-Desteldonk
  • SNAM Adriatica

Reliable connections for the hydrogen economy

With technical excellence and innovative strength, we are actively contributing to the development of a European hydrogen economy. EUROPIPE offers safe, sustainable and innovative pipe solutions – for projects that are convincing today and will continue to be viable in the future.
