EUROPIPE was founded in 1991 through the merger of the large-diameter pipe activities of Aktien-Gesellschaft der Dillinger Hüttenwerke, GTS Industries and Mannesmannröhren-Werke. Since then, EUROPIPE has been one of the leading suppliers in the international large-diameter pipe industry.

Expertise in steel pipes
Our company headquarters are located in Mülheim an der Ruhr (Germany). Here we operate a state-of-the-art production facility for longitudinally welded large-diameter pipes with an annual capacity of up to 1.4 million tonnes – equivalent to around 2,000 kilometres of pipeline per year. This enables us to make a decisive contribution to global energy and infrastructure projects.
Roots stretching back centuries
Our company's roots go back a long way: while EUROPIPE itself dates back to the late 20th century, our shareholders can look back on a tradition stretching back to the 19th century – and in the case of Dillinger Hüttenwerke, even to the 17th century. Today, Salzgitter Mannesmann GmbH and AG der Dillinger Hüttenwerke each hold 50% of the shares in EUROPIPE. Both companies are leading heavy plate specialists and pioneers in the decarbonisation of steel production. Thanks to this ‘kinship’ with two technologically advanced steel manufacturers, we not only have excellent raw materials for our pipes at our disposal, but can also draw on solid production capacities. This is an important advantage, especially in times of high demand. Our customers in particular benefit from the short distances and guaranteed short lead times.
