EUROPIPE engages in dialogue with politicians on the future of Germany as an industrial hub
EUROPIPE welcomed the Social Democratic members from Mülheim an der Ruhr—Jens Geier, Member of the European Parliament; Sebastian Fiedler, Member of the Bundestag; and Rodion Bakum, Member of the State Parliament—to our facility in Mülheim for a political discussion.
Together with EUROPIPE’s management team—Roger Menneking and Carsten Schmickler—Supervisory Board Chairman Amit Bedi, and representatives from Mannesmann Grobblech GmbH, the discussion focused on key challenges facing the energy-intensive industry in Germany and Europe.
Topics discussed included the importance of an efficient rail freight network, reliable framework conditions to support international pipeline projects, and strengthening European value creation in government-funded hydrogen and CCS projects.
For EUROPIPE, one thing is clear: a secure energy supply, industrial competitiveness, and infrastructure transformation go hand in hand. This requires resilient supply chains, strong industrial expertise in Europe, and an ongoing dialogue between industry and policymakers.
