8 Questions for:
Ronja Rasch
Tender Manager

„It's great to see that my work counts – and that I can really make a difference with what I do.“

What are your responsibilities at EUROPIPE?

In our tender management department, we process specific customer enquiries and international tenders for projects. A significant part of the work involves analysing extensive tender documents and coordinating further processing by the relevant departments. Particular focus is placed on meeting deadlines, taking technical and commercial requirements into account, and coordinating communication with all interfaces involved. The feedback we receive is collected, reviewed by experts, and compiled into a complete, timely, and formally correct customer offer.

What is special about your workplace?

The pipe business is somewhat unique – in a positive sense! We deal with projects here that you don't see every day. It is technically demanding, international, and incredibly varied.

What I find most exciting is that no two projects are alike. Every customer enquiry brings new requirements and presents us with unique challenges. It never gets boring here.

The enquiries are becoming increasingly complex – you have to be flexible, think on your feet and work well in a team. But that's exactly what makes it so special: you grow with the tasks, constantly learn new things and feel like you're really contributing something.

No two days are the same. The goal is always to end up with something that makes sense.

"No two days are the same. Sometimes it's quiet, sometimes it's hectic – but the goal is always to end up with something that makes sense."

What do like about EUROPIPE and your work?

I find it exciting to see how a seemingly confusing pile of documents develops into a finished offer – with everything that goes with it. At first, a lot of things seem confusing, but gradually a common thread emerges. It's a bit like a jigsaw puzzle: you collect the pieces, organise them, ask questions, clarify open points – and at some point everything fits together. Seeing the finished result always gives me a good feeling.

What was the deciding factor for you to start at EUROPIPE?

At the time, I was looking for an apprenticeship with good prospects. The industry appealed to me immediately: it's unusual, exciting and just a little bit different. What particularly convinced me was that the work here isn't just done in the office, but is backed up by real production. It was important to me to see what had been created at the end of the day. The overall package of work, team and cooperation on an equal footing was just right for me.

How would you describe your everyday working life?

No two days are the same. Sometimes it's quiet, sometimes it's hectic – but always with the goal of creating something that makes sense in the end.

What do you appreciate most about working here?

What I particularly appreciate is the combination of an open, helpful atmosphere and the trust to work independently.
It's nice to see that my work counts – and that I can really make a difference with what I do.

What would you say to someone who wants to apply to EUROPIPE?

If you enjoy varied tasks and like working in a team, this is the right place for you. You don't have to be able to do everything from the start – the important thing is that you are open to new ideas, think for yourself and aren't afraid to ask questions.

And finally: What is essential for a really good day at work?

A joke now and then that makes you laugh, good conversations with humorous colleagues – and at the end of the day, the feeling that you have really achieved something.
